The Pakistan Institute of International Affairs is holding a Seminar on Changing Dynamics of Power in the Middle East, on Saturday, 25 July 2026 at 4.30 p.m. sharp.
Speakers
1. Ambassador Asif Ali Khan Durrani, former Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran and UAE, and Special Representative of Pakistan to Afghanistan, will speak on “Beyond the Iran – US War: Changing Dynamics of Power in the Middle East and the Search for a New Regional Security Architecture”.
2. Lt Col (r) Dr Muhammad Ali Ehsan, specialist in civil-military relations, regional security, counter-terrorism, military strategy and South Asian geopolitics. He is a PhD Research Scholar at KFU & Tomsk State University, Russian Federation, and will speak on “The New Middle East: Reality Illusion or Strategic Mirage?”
3. Dr Naeem Ahmed, Chairman, Department of International Relations, University of Karachi, will cover “Reimagining Gulf Security in the Changing International Dis(order)”.
The presentations will be followed by questions and answers.
